SILVA/BRADSHAW :: MunNY 2010

To celebrate creativity in New York, designer Joe Doucet along with the Kid Robot brand invited 25 of New York’s leading furniture and product designers to interpret the iconic ‘Munny’ form. For our doll we recalled childhood memories of wrapping glue-coated string around an inflated balloon, which you would later pop, leaving a structure reminiscent of the original form. For this piece a wax positive was cast from the original ‘Munny’ doll and then wrapped in multi-colored epoxy coated sewing thread.
